The mission of the Church is missions. Before ascending to the right hand of God, Jesus Christ commissioned His church to evangelize the world. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said:

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

This command, often labeled as the “Great Commission”, is repeated in each of the gospel accounts and also in the book of Acts. New Heights Baptist Church believes the “Great Commission”, is personal, local, regional, national and global in scope.

1. Personal: New Heights members seek to win family members, co-workers and friends to Christ and also establish relationships with others in an effort to win them to Christ. New converts are helped and discipled.

2. Local: Pastor Reyes leads a weekly churchwide door-to-door evangelism effort in Albuquerque.  We are currently seeking to reach every door in the city!

Weekly churchwide visitation currently takes place on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

3. Regional: New Heights aids other church planters that come to the southwest with door-to-door tract distribution and other assistance as New Heights is able to provide.

4. National: Church planting in the United States has been an emphasis of New Heights for many years.  As part of the overall missions program a portion of the funds are used to help church planters around the nation continue to sow the gospel seed in our nation.

5. Global: New Heights is in the business of supporting, preparing and sending missionaries to other countries. New Heights employs faith promise giving to support missionaries and will also provide leadership training for those that seek to become church planters, evangelists or missionaries.
